Promise Fulfilled: “I see a book!”
Martha Olawale
“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.” Isaiah 46:10
It doesn't matter what you think about Jesus; one thing is sure: He is faithful, and what He says, He'll bring to past (Isaiah 46:11). The road to publishing “A Million Miles with Jesus” and “Unconditionally Christ’s” was not easy. I took many detours and failed each time. Still, God is always faithful to His promises to uphold the weary hands and encourage a heart willing to honor Him. These books testify to God's faithfulness, and His graciousness humbles me.
About 13 years ago, in Florida, the former editor of Charisma Magazine was invited to my Church and, in the congregation's presence, told me God said I was going to write for the Church. I didn’t think I needed the reminder at the time, but I would have pivoted and lost my balance if not for that constant reminder in my heart. God goes the extra mile all the time to make sure we stay the course.
Although my humanity limited my view beyond the impossibilities surrounding me then, that encounter kept my hands on the reins so God could move them to do what He wanted. I didn’t see what He saw in me, but I knew God enough to believe that whatever He promises, He is committed to.
These articles, becoming books, were promised to YOU, the readers, and it's a privilege to serve as a vessel in God's hands. I can testify to His unfailing goodness and commitment to accomplishing His will for your life. GOD SPEAKS! It doesn’t matter if everyone says ‘no,’ pursue God’s ‘yes.’ If God says it, believe it and run with it. It might take a day, a week, a month, or years, but it won't fail. These volumes of Abiding Christian books testify to God's unwavering grace. Just don’t give up because God is too faithful to fail.
Each article references an imperfect life lived under the care of the perfect God. Having the first foreword written by my Pastor, Ron McCants, is an honor and a full-circle privilege. He invited the minister to Church that Sunday, thirteen years ago, when he called me before the congregation and, among other things, said, "I see a book." Not just one but two volumes were published simultaneously because God knows how to humble our limited imaginations. Stay the course; God never fails.
With the utmost gratitude, I join the Psalmist in 138:8 to say, “The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.” How these books happened could only be God, and what He will do in your life as you read them can only be done by His power. I pray He strengthens and gives you the courage to pursue His purpose for your life because, ultimately, He’ll bring it to pass if He says it. “Indeed, I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.” Isaiah 46:11.
May God enrich your minds as you read. In Jesus name!
